The PC166 series SSDs from Foremay focuses on the price/performance ratio and supports a wide variety of interfaces and form factors ranging from the most common 2.5-inch SATA. They are therefore targeting the consumer market rather than enterprise users.
There are certain drives in the PC166 W-Series that offers support for the TRIM command in Windows 7, which is designed to keep drive performance from degrading over time by erasing used blocks ahead of time to avoid the extra overhead associated with erasing and re-writing existing blocks. TRIM support is also included with Foremay’s EC188 series. Besides the PC166 W-series, the PC166 family also houses the PC166 S-series, which consists of a range of memory cards and USB devices using NAND flash memory. Certain drives also come with included hardware encryption.
